Picture: Ion Orchard. Source: MyselfSo i got into Singapore at about 6am Tuesday morning (9th Feb) by the time i cleared customs and collected my luggage it was about 7. The flight was terrible. Jetstar is very average!! Better than Tiger but still average. Hardly slept, maybe an hour or two at most. I then caught a cab to my cousins place who now lives near East Coast Park- which is closer to the city than Ang Mo Kio. Had some breakfast and then crashed and fell asleep.
Slept until 2pm. Woke up no one around except my cousin's dog so i caught the bus into Orchard Road to do some shopping. Didn't want to buy too much stuff too early (got 1 week in Singapore), so only bought a few things from Girodano and a pair of sneakers from TopMan. Changed some money too- got $1.22 for my Australian dollar. Singapore feels more expensive than Malaysia- although still a bit cheaper than Perth.
Plenty of development in Singapore has happened since last time i was here (2 years ago). Ion Orchard is a new addition- literally on top of the MRT station. Only had a quick look in there but lots of good shopping.
Ate dinner tonight for $3 at a hawker stall around the corner from where i'm staying. Also discovered a bar to hang out in, literally around the corner. Was too tired to check it out tonight but probably tomorrow night.
