Stricker Domination

Steve Stricker is the new world number 2 after closing out the Northern Trust Open at Riviera. Stricker's final round 70, continues his perfect record this season; he has broken par in every round he has played this season on the Pga Tour. Stricker took a 6 shot lead into the final round, and found himself trying not to blow his lead, rather than chase the tournament record. Stricker's win now has many asking if Stricker is now the best player without a major. For Stricker, this is a long way from 4 seasons ago, where he lost his swing and his Pga Tour card.

Meanwhile, in Dubai, vintage European Tour Player, Miguel Angel Jiminez held off Europe's current number 1 Lee Westwood in an entertaining 3 hole play-off at the Dubai Desert Classic. Like a good wine, Jiminez get's better with age. Jiminez's unorthdox swing has now claimed 16 European Tour titles and at 46 he has re-entered the top 30 in the world.
